What Traceable Calibration Means
A traceable calibration means a gauge's measurement can be linked, through an unbroken chain of comparisons, back to a recognised national or international measurement standard, with each step in that chain carrying a known uncertainty.
What this looks like in practice
Every Accusize thread gauge ships with a test certificate accredited by NABL (the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories), to ISO/IEC 17025, the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Why it matters
A traceable certificate means a buyer or auditor can check the recorded dimensions against a known standard, not just take the manufacturer's word for it. It is typically expected in automotive, aerospace and other industries where a failed thread fit has real consequences.
